International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament in honour of Alexander Beresh has been held

November 27th, 28th in High College of Physical training in the honor of prize-winner of Olympic Games, Absolute Champion of Europe, Champion of World Student Games Alexandr Beresh, who died tragically in car crash January 29, 2004 the IV International Tournament in Artistic Gymnastics has been held.

Despite of all troubles that has been happening during all organizational process, such as repair works in old training room, delay of all materials at custom house etc. - tournament has finally took place. Due to the help of sponsors such as: Thermex, radio "Evropa plus", Charitable Foundation of Ustin Maltsev the event has been held in top level. Friends of Alexandr Beresh, famous sportsmen came to Honor his memory.

During 2 days sportsmen has been showing their unique abilities.
So, November 27th there was drawn a number of prizes in absolute top. Gold gone to Alexandr Yakubovskiy. Silver and bronze were shared between gymnasts from Zaporozh'e and Kiyv: Vitaliy Nakonechniy and Petr Paxnenko. In addition to the medals they received money prizes in equivalent of 400, 300 and 200 USD.

November 28th finals in separate apparatus took place. Best in free style on parallel bars was Alexandr Yakubovskiy, who also shared first place with Igor Radivilov from Donetsk in bearing jump. Igor was the best in the rings too. It's his favorite gymnastic apparatus.
On the`pommel horse the best was Andrey Senechkin, Kiyv.

Petr Panuk from Kiyv won competition in horizontal bar. Because of the fact that horizontal bar was favorite apparatus of Alexandr Beresh traditionally the winners of this competition is receiving additional prize. This year it was 200 USD.

The winners of all competitions received bonus in amount of 100 USD. All 36 participants of the competitions were awarded by memorable medals and prizes. Special prize from Mr. Kiyanovskiy the deputy of Kherson regional council received youngest participant.

Inspiration and faith in Ukrainian gymnasts were returned after awarding ceremony and closing International Tournament in honor of Alexandr Beresh. He will live forever in our hearts as long as we will remember Alexandr, who was unique Ukrainian gymnast, and Man from capital letter. And all his fight for Image of our country and health nation will be continued by new generation.
